Just a really quick one!!

How  time seems to be disappearing , April is done and dusted and its May already!! I feel like the last month I  have been caught up with all this Toothache  and extraction business. I'm happy to report Im off my nurofen/panadol combo now! Yay!   Oh and of course  who could resist getting caught up in all the hoo haa of the Royal Wedding (maybe thats girls only!!) So here is a quickie update  about some of the places I have been to in the last few weeks!! I promise I will be back on track and focused for May!

Gorgeous Horse
at the Farm!!
Abbotsford Convent Bakery : I ventured here on a Sunday with Darby - the deal was to go to The Collingwood Children's Farm first and then the trade off was coffee for mum ! A win-win situation! It was a gorgeous sunny day and packed with people.. After our animal exploring we made it to the convent! OMG... It was Manic!!!! Not relaxing at all.. although it was a production line ordering etc, the coffee was surprisingly good, very bold and made with love! (They create their own blends here!)

Check out the tiny teddy
 next to my coffee! Cute!
Foxy Brown:  On a Java Jane alone day I traipsed over to Northcote... I went to Penny Farthing Espresso -  A Highlight of my challenge and then onto Foxy Brown a converted Milk  bar (gee that is a trend!!) And keeping some of its heritage via a Streets ice cream sign perched on the roof!  There is a real 70's chilled out groove going on here, bright orange and wooden decor , vintage flower prints... I could have been in a scene from "Paper Giants" (they nailed that look!) I can imagine the Diva represented on their business card walking though the door any second with some real spunk.
Foxy Brown - Best Damn Brown in Town
Foxy has many cool things on the menu that might interest those not addicted to caffeine like I am:  'Dandy cowboy' - Roast Dandelion served latte style with regular milk!(mmm)  I spent my time perusing just the drinks menu! Ill be coming back for a Carob Latte or something from their "Chai menu" - although the Soy Piccolo was super so I might just stick to safe territory! As I was leaving I couldn't help tapping my foot to some Beatles classics. "All you need is Love" and "Yellow Submarine!! I really was in a Time warp!
By the way - it is incredibly kiddie friendly - play room out the back, a kids menu and bright plastic cups for everyone!

Shop 7 Coffee Alimentari : Another city haunt I will be making an effort to come and visit again, I dropped in on the way to a meeting and picked up a takeaway on a chilly afternoon! I was instantly impressed by the Synesso coffee machine and Five Senses coffee. This  made for a wonderful partnership! My coffee was really a work of art.... Yummy  Bonsoy and slick craftsmanship from the barista on the coffee machine created a coffee to remember.  He was also friendly and chatty - a man who can multitask - I have to find one of those, would be a bonus if he can make exquisite coffee too!  I wished I could have stayed longer to let the coffee and experience linger a little more.. Ill be back
PS- don't mind my horrible, old wrinkly cold fingers in the picture!!

Will be back soon  - Until next time xx
