My Parents are too cute!

My mum and dad resisted the temptation of upgrading their old, old mobile phones, until it just made sense that they received the hand me down iPhone 3's when my sister and I upgraded to the new iPhone! With some reluctance to give up their bricks, they have embraced the technology with gusto. (I'm such a proud daughter!!) 

It is nearly a daily occurrence that I receive a picture message from either! I am secretly really loving it! Its adorable in fact (especially when they are looking after Darby up at their place)!  Oh and I love the messages from my dad - pretending to be Millie Dog. They are so darn cute! 

Next thing I know they will be on Instagram!

Colourful Creations keeping Yarraville warm this winter!

This week hasn't been a great one.. both Darby and I have succumbed to colds and infections (God I hate winter weather and the germs that come with it.. and it  hasn't event clocked over 1st June yet)

So it was a nice warming surprise to find these genius post warmers, near our train station in Yarraville. I just had to get a picture for Amelia from Weddings Babies Everything.. these reminded me of her gorgeous crochet attempts of late! I wish I could take them all home and wrap myself in their warmth.. but at least they put a smile on our faces!

Life is full of Surprises!

Darby and I arrived home on a wet miserable night! I was glad to slump on the couch with my little man and tune out for the night... 

I then realised I had forgotten my FatMumSlim Photo a day .. No biggie really... but this one meant something to me! "Something I am grateful for".... 

I can think of a hundreds of things.... but my NUMBER ONE ....is of course the bond that Darby and I share! 

So I said to Darbs.... give mum a cuddle and Ill try to capture it on my iPhone... So he lent in.. me expecting a warm cuddle....but to my surprise I got was a massive lick to the face.... It gave me such a shock and a massive belly laugh! - This is the exact moment.... (Good photo taking skills I know! ) The photo is grainy.. and not focused, but I love it all the more.. It will be my little reminder that Life is full of wonderful moments that can take you by surprise!

Coffee in the city.....

In search of my missing mojo.. I decided I needed to get back to basics... back to what I enjoy most...

Spending quality time with Darby.. and treating myself to a coffee tour of the city, and trying coffee from somewhere I have wanted to go for a long time! Darby is also at a perfect age to explore our wonderful city!! He loves these trips as much as I do!! 
This is exactly what we both needed...

Oh what a weekend....

Easter has come and gone in a blur... there was lots of fun and frivolity had.... oh and of course enough chocolate consumed for the whole rest of the year!!! 


This year the Easter bunny impressed my little Batman.... he was in awe of the how the bunny rabbit knew to bring Batman jocks.. that rabbit is clever!

Wordless Wednesday - Happy Easter

The Easter bunny will be here on Sunday ... and he cant come soon enough... give me those eggs and get out of here! Well, maybe I am more happy that the chocolate that adorns every shop will be gone until at least err umm December and the temptation can go away for another 6 months or so! 

Most of all I am looking forward to a break away with Darby and my family...
